A career committed to serving the public.

As Clerk of Superior Court, Lorrin oversees more than one hundred and fifty court employees whose primary responsibilities include maintaining all court records, collecting monies on behalf of the courts and serving as judge in certain cases including foreclosures, adoptions, and estate matters. Lorrin strongly believes that her office plays a crucial role in providing access for the public to the justice system. She is committed to serving the public and leads her staff by example.

Prior to becoming Clerk, Lorrin served as an Assistant District Attorney for Wake County and then as Assistant Attorney General for the State of North Carolina. As an Assistant District Attorney, Lorrin handled juvenile crime prosecutions during a time when youth crime was escalating. Determined to help reverse this trend, Lorrin worked with others to establish the Juvenile Drug Treatment Court and Teen Court. During her work for the North Carolina Department of Justice, Lorrin worked closely with law enforcement providing training and serving as Counsel to the North Carolina Law Enforcement Training and Standards Commission and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
